My very first POI that I encountered was the bandit camp on the cliff. I rolled away from them clear off to my death.

I nearly died during the tutorial at Kaer Morhen, I fell off the walkway and kept overshooting ladders, that would have been a great start.

LOL. I did exactly the same thing.

But - I don't find the controls laggy at all. Very smooth and responsive for me...

Try to disable Vsync if your controls are laggy.

guys i didn't even make it out the bedroom door. walked to balcony, saw tutorial prompt "press space to jump," and out i went.

Did you ever manage to work out a way to get up that cliff? I went around that cliff a bunch of times but couldn't find a place to climb up.. very annoying.. and they can shoot arrows a very long way!

Yeah. If it's the same one I'm thinking. You go across the bridge further down the road. Then there's a piece of the wall angled up the side to the bandit camp. Geralt is extremely sensitive to minor falls ;)

Well, you can still walk bt pressing CTRL.

But yeah, it's the most annoying part I think :/
