I want to buy The Witcher 3, but I was wondering, how long did it take for The Witcher 2 to become eligible for transfer from Steam to GOG?

Precisely becauseiit's DRM free. I can download it, burn it to a disc and still be able to play it 20 years from now. When the sinking ship that is Steam inevitably kicks the bucket, those games will be gone.

And no, the Steam version isn't DRM free. There is no such thing as a DRM free Steam game.

Anyway, this was mostly for my own curiosity. I got the GOG version. Thanks.
