Hi all,

i got the witcher 3, base game, on day one. Quit after a while for lack of time, then a few days ago, i bought the season pass.

Now i have 2 installation with different save files, no problem because i was going to play from the star anyway.

the problem is i'm missing Heart of stone and blood and wine:

in my gog library i can see wither 3 goty and witcher 3 (my first installation)

the base game installation give me the opportunity to download both expansions, the GOTY not.

first time i launched GOTY there were both the expansions in tha main menu, playable separately, but i thought that starting the game from the very beginning, contains the expansions too. now i'm level 16, no trace of the expansions quest, and both HOS and BAW disappeared from main menu. So i cannot launch them separately.

anyone can tell me how can i check if the expansion are installed in my goty?

otherwise should i try to download the expansions for the base game and continue my very old saves? (2 years ago, but almost on the same point of my current run on the GOTY version)

Thank's to all and sorry for my bad english. it's not my native language.

The expansions *are* in the GOTY, they are part of the installation. They do not come separately, nor are they played separately from the main game. They are initiated as quests: go to the notice board at the Seven Cats inn.

thank's for reply.

already did it. Got no quest. but after verifying the game files via gog galaxy, now i can see both expansions in main menu. but they'are greyed out.

Also, my save file from the 2 installations seems to be merged, now. Maybe because of the gog sync.

I searched the forum and found someone who managed to fix the problem by manually deleting the dlc folder from game directory, then verifying the game files via gog galaxy.

So at the moment i'm waiting for gog galaxy to finish the download of all the dlc (Expansions should be included).

My internet line is powered by a couple of drunken mouse, so i have to wait at least 2 more hours to provide a feedback.

EDIT: Hickory, i'm not sure, but the thread i've been talking is one in wich you made a post.

Your problem is relying on Galaxy. It's temperamental and causes all kinds of issues. I have no idea why they thought it was a good idea to bring it out of Beta; it's still a buggy mess.

I really don't know :) i just have the witcher 3 on gog, so i can't tell if gog galaxy is broken or buggy. My wife bought me the gog retail version.

if you can tell me how to launch the game without gog galaxy, i'll give it a try after the end of the download and let you know.

Indeed i'm not interested in achievment and similar, so not a problem for me to play without gog galaxy.

This is what I meant about Galaxy: it is a step that should absolutely not have been necessary.
