After few days I decided to load my save in Kaer Morhen right after epilogue and check what's up with my npc buddies. I've been notified about restoring the world content to moments right before departing for skellige for final mission (I guess, don't remember 100%) So...
- kaer morhen is completely empty (where are letho and eskel?)
- emhyr's gone from Wyzima and there's no nilfgaard fleet in skellige
- no zoltan/dondalion (or whatever his funny name is in english version) in their inn in novigrad
- no yen/triss/filippa/avallah/margarita there
- none of them is either in skellige or white orchard inn (epilogue location)
- ciri's absence might be justified
- I haven't checked roche yet

So where are they? They got "deleted" even if they've been still alive in final cutscenes? And even if the world has been restored to just before final missions?
I've got my perfect ending with Ciri departed for Nilfgaard, her father still alive, radovid dead, dijkstra dead, Yen & Geralt together somwhere.
So my guess is that at least Yen, Dondalion and Zoltan should have been somwhere alive and well, still present in game after main story. Same with Eskel or Letho who haven't even been "touched" after kaer morhen battle.
Any ideas?

I thought Zolton was still at the bar. I know Dandelion's girl friend is still in the hospital. I would assume Triss and Yen are doing something with the lodge.
The continuation is not a continuation of the story. As you know, you continue the game at a point just before the final chapter. The problems is, things have happened since then, so all of the main players have had to disappear, to prevent storyline paradoxes. The sole purpose of the continuation is to allow you to complete any side quests, not to go reminiscing.

Propably, but I still don't like it :P The world is kinda empty now without almost all of them.
I'm curious how the devs will handle that issue whn the extension comes out and if people how already completed the game will have to reload an earlier savegame - which would be annying because I collected some Gwent cards after finishing the game and don't wanna lose them.

Especially regarding the extension it would make sense to not let them disappear completely.
If anyone, like me, is kinda pissed because this sudden dissaperance of all important npcs here's a nice, long thread at official witcher3 forum: http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/39674-Mega-SPOILERS-Immersion-Destroyer
There's even developers answer (read the first post). So there's still hope! :)
