Currently the numpad doesn't appear to work at all.

I'd like to rebind the numpad to simply act just like the normal number keys - I just like to hit the num 1 or 2 key during conversations etc. just as I do in Divinity - with my thumb then my hand can go right back on mouse. Can't work out how best to do it in input.settings

Nitpicky I know but QOL baby!

Thanks
First of all, back up your input.settings somewhere safe in case this goes wrong. Second, I've not tried this personally, so don't know what the result will be. Ok, here goes:

Find the sections
[BASE_INTERACTIONS_KEYBOARD]
and
[BASE_INTERACTIONS]

Now replace appropriate IK_E= entries to IK_NumPad1, IK_NumPad2, IK_NumPad3 etc.

Thanks I've given it a go, but I can't find any appropriate corresponding entries. I'm needing like for just Dialogue IK_Numpad1 . THe base intereactions govern the E key for most confirmation type keys. Thank you though, I'll keep looking! :)

ps. I can't find that IK_1 anywhere that might govern dialogue keys. Perhaps this is not possible.

It's right there (look again). It's called:

IK_E=(Action=Talk)

Change it to IK_NumPad1=(Action=Talk)

You are changing the 'E' key to the NumPad 1 key for 'action "Talk"'.

As you say, that would just replace the Talk / E action for any and all entries that I change it to. What I'm needing is the ability to use numpad keys 1-9 during Dialogue.

Ah, during dialog. Sorry I misunderstood. I believe that ability is hard coded, which means you can't map them in-game.
Aye, sorry for the confusion. Cheers for the advice.
