Not sure if this has been addressed thoroughly yet, but thought I'd ask!

After clicking PLAY, the game apparently loads, the wheel spins on, but all it does every time is crash out to Windows with no warning whatsoever.

Have there been possible solutions to this made available?

It could be server problems and Galaxy is still beta.Play without Galaxy running.
It happened to me as well. But it's kind random since the application is still in BETA as "gunsynd" wrote.

Start by listing hardware specs.

Processor make and model
motherboard make and model
RAM - how much, type, speed
Make and model of graphics card - driver version
Operating System version
Version of The Witcher 3

That's just the start. Plenty of storage space available? Everything securely connected in the PC? Other games work fine?

WIthout some basic information, its just a shot in the dark.

Example:

Q: Why can't connect to the internet?

A: (30 minutes later) A mouse chewed through the ethernet cable, so it appeared to be connected securely at both ends.

Ok, having a little fun with that last part, but I've actually run into it once lol
