For the past several days, I've had a "quest available" marker on my map, but when I arrive there, there is no one there and nothing to pick up that could trigger any quests. In case the exact location matters, it's in the middle of a marshy area, looks like a round pond on the map, just a bit south of the monster nest marker between Blackbough and crow's perch.

Does anyone know what's going on here? Have I somehow missed something?

Any answers would be appreciated.

Thanks.

There's nothing there but nekkers. There's a 'quest available' (but it's not a quest) marker just south of there, at the north end of 'Troll Bridge'.

It happens sometimes if you reach some quest triggers in a different order, e.g. if you find a certain person before asking others about him/her.
Looks like you may both be right. I cleared the encounter at the troll bridge, but the other marker remains with nothing there to encounter.

Thanks for the help.
I remember someone else reported this a while back, so you're not the only one to encounter this issue. Unfortunately I don't recall if someone posted a solution (I realize that's not much of a help).
