I'd reloaded several times & this bloody Arachas (Harris) just kept one shotting me.
Then I checked my quest journal & seen my level 4 Geralt was on a level 33 quest. Ouch!
Ouch! :)

I haven't played very far, but this is some good news. I never liked the fact that enemies scaled with you in games like the original Oblvion; I prefer higher-level regions with more difficult enemies that need to be overcome.

I don't know how they have structured it (you know better than me), but I like the sense of foreboding that comes with entering a region that you know is full of higher level mobs; eg early World of Warcraft with it's different zones (all open of course, but deadly to those with not enough experience).

I like to hunt down monsters with (much) higher level, its quite exciting and a challenge. Even it doesnt give much EXP.

Same here! :)
I hear ya, I remember stumbling across a graveyard with similar results, and don't get me started on that damn werewolf, never knew I missed level locked content this much.

No offence to Skyrim.

Yeah I’m loving the miss-matched fights everywhere. I was exploring and stumbled upon a Basilisk (or something with a similar name that could fly) while I was only level 5. I battled it and managed to stay alive for at least two minutes before a miss-timed quen sign left me open to a one shot kill.

In all the time I did manage to stay up, I might have reduced his hit points by maybe 5% lol. Though I suspect he was regenerating his hit points faster than I could keep them going in a downward direction. Something to look forward to in the future when/if I find a contract for him.
