Honzas4400: :D
Almost no game has in-game-screenshot-stuff-hotkey. You simply have to use some external program and I think that's the least you can do. It's always harder to "capture the right moment".
ast486: Well yeah, if you are busy fighting.
Still, most modern games I've seen have a screenshots key and a remove hud key so that you can take the pretty pretty screenies.
I haven't seen it in much games to say truth. Nor screenshot key or disabling HUD. Sure, some game allows you to enter Photo Mode that makes both of these things easy, but I haven't seen key for screenshot and/or disabling HUD in a long time. But for that, the link I sent is probably the best thing you can have/do (post #4).
It's very easy then. You simply play and play and see something super cool and you press F3. Game freezes and you can move camera around you or press F1 to move camera wherever you want. Using the console, you can just type 'dlgshow' to hide the HUD or 'dlghide' to show the HUD. I think that taking the screenshot is the least problem.
Capturing the screenshot without "external" program is not easy as the games don't support it very much. You can always try 'print screen' key and then copy it into Paint or some other picture-program. Still, the easiest way is probably Fraps, as it's free (well, free-ish. But things you need can be found and used in trial version) or using Steam.
Because I don't know what else I should write, I'll just post some of my photos :3
