Hello,

So, I caved in and bought the Witcher 3 with the current huge promotion, the game has a really good reputation and I wanted to play it... And then I forgot to check whether it was compatible with Mac. And it isn't.

Help?

I know that Wine exist, but it sort of has a bad reputation (doesn't work with everything, complicated...) Has anybody checked if the Witcher 3 works on it, before I go down that rabbit hole?
Is there any other, simpler solution?

Also, because I know some people will want to suggest this: no, I won't buy a PC. The last one I owned had a mind of its own, and it wasn't a friendly one. My love story with PCs is permanently terminated.

Thank you in advance for your help :)

Simply refund it?
Wine isn't quite far enough along to run the Witcher 3 yet. It's made a lot of progress though.

I don't think the game of the year edition will ever be as low as 15-ish Euros again, so my intent is to wait until it can work on Mac (with Wine or otherwise) or find a way to make it work now... But I really do want to play this game at some point in time!

Anyway, thank you for your answer about Wine, at least I won't try it for nothing :)
