Godsbane777: I've heard Zotac is a decent company but never owned anything other than EVGA and NVIDIA refurbished video cards. I keep my house cool, in southern USA so it's hot down here too. My card runs between 40 and 58 degrees Celsius under up to 99% load while playing The Witcher 3.

thelostdunmer: I envy you. There are times that I would be checking up my gpu just to see if it's already flaming up because of the heat and the noise it is making.
I have a meticulously engineered and powerful air cooled system. Thirteen 12cm fans and two custom built airflow modifiers. They work better than the water cooled CPU + three 12cm and one 90mm setup I had before this one.

The downside is I utterly HAVE to clean the whole tower out every week or two (at most!) because of how much dust it manages to pick up. Upside is, I get to brag about equal or better performance at lower usage percent, hardware and ambient temperatures all without the risk of water leakage obliterating my internals.
Is it good for the graphics card to cool it down? A couple years ago there's been a problem with how the chips were soldered to the PCB and heating and cooling the solder a few times basically killed the card. I believe, that the chip is designed to run at certain temperatures and cooling and heating it periodically might be even worse.

The rest of the components would of course benefit from less heat generated in the case (unless the graphics is watercooled and all the heat is released outside).

light487: I love how the game puts you to the main menu when you alt-tab.. it's a real life saver :)
Too bad it doesn't put you straight to the Gwent Deck as well.
thelostdunmer: You are absolutely correct in India its super hot and sad news is that i am also playing it in 78-80 degree, i have search in google many says its fine let see cant stop gaming for that.. :P :D but my processor statys cool as i have liquid cooling.. :)

And i have brought Zotac only for 5years warranty or else MSI or Asus was my Choice.. :)

I have always preferred to let my GPU chill out when stepping away from the PC. I have never had a GPU fail, burn up, or reach excessive temperatures. I have only ever gotten new ones when the old one gets dated.

That said, I firmly believe in letting your hardware take a break during long gaming sessions.

That also said, I only use AMD processors and NVIDIA (EVGA) video cards. I can't speak on Intel processors and AMD video cards.
I use an alternative task manager called Anvir Task Manager that gives me the option to suspend an exe and resume it later. This stops any game from using the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately its not updated anymore so its not guaranteed after windows 8. Not sure if it works on 10 as I use Win 7. Maybe there is another good task manager for Win 10 if that's what you use.
