As stated in the title, my Geralt has problems with descending stairs. Like once every three times he will tumble down, regardless of the walking speed. Not a serious problem, but it does ruin the atmosphere here and there. Is it a bug and is there anything I can do?

Yes it's a bug, unless a mod out there fixes it, can't really do anything.

You can try the No More Rolling Down Stairs mod on the Witcher 3 Nexus mods site
Instead of doing a combat roll, Geralt will do a little stumble forward.
It's not perfect but it's a lot better than rolling around and i didn't encounter any issues personally using the mod
