Hickory: Yes, Steam do revoke keys when they're informed of stolen ones. This is not unique to GOG.

No, terminating your *stolen* key.

Adamandio: And how is the customer supposed to know its stolen ? Ive been told in the past by many people that g2a is reliable and have bought about 5-6 games on there, only 2 being gog's. For the Steam games bought there i gavent had problems in over a year buying them. I see that you are trying to defend Gog's position and i know that they are only trying to stop stolen keys selling and stuff but from a customer point of view this is awful and i feel both scammed and betrayed.
Look, don't get angry with the innocent here. Get angry with the company who resells stolen keys. You are misdirecting your ire at the wrong people. Whenever you buy anything from anywhere it is always a case of do your homework, *never* buy from shady market places (G2A, Kinguin etc.) and 'buyer beware'. GOG have done no wrong. G2A *have*.

Gog may have done no wrong here but they just lost a customer. Thanks for your help anyway man.

Cut off your nose to spite your face? That's just silly.

I wont buy off g2a anymore but i still feel betrayed by gog, even if its not they're fault. They still terminated my key. Steam has never done anything like that to me.

GOG has not betrayed you. If you believe that GOG should refund money from stolen products then you are incredibly naive, either that or 'entitled'. GOG owes you nothing. G2A owes you 50 bucks.

And just in case you still don't believe that Steam revokes keys...

I believe they do but it havent happened to me ever. Customer trust is easy to loose on the internet. When i buy a digital version of a game i need to know that if i get screwed by a seller i can get a refund. I know they cant refund me on a stolen key but terminating a key i paid is still awful. They should rather contact g2a and try getting the sellers banned.

No. The onus is on you to contact G2A. What G2A and places like it do is not illegal but *very, very* shady. They allow keys to be sold, just like on eBay but with zero checks on validity or source. How can GOG "ban" a reseller that is already unauthorised? GOG has no recourse for such actions.

That's the spirit. Let me give you a further piece of advice: *all* resellers of keys are risky. Only buy from authorised dealers and resellers. The safest place to buy The Witcher 3 is GOG. Heck, if you buy the game and 2 expansions you get given the GOTY version for free.
