I am Ciri (Citi's Story - Breakneck Speed quest) - fleeing towards the Temple Isle.
I ran all the way passed all guards until the entrance where there were many guards.
I died 18 times, the most ever. Fighting them, watching my health remained full then
suddenly a black screen, I'm dead. Start over again and again.
As signs cannot be cast, only her ability to teleport around, but she kept on falling off the cliff face.
.Unbelievably the quest is 8 levels lower than my present level. I must surely be missing some special
fighting ability that she has.

You have some ablilities, but I learned after my second death there, that you must run, not stay and fight...

Yes. I found at the last area before the door I had to draw them out down the pathway thereby facing only a few at a time.
I watched a video where they got Ciri to constantly shoot forward at lightning speed (I do not know the term for this ability)
I found that pressing Geralt's sign cast button she did this but I do not know how to control the direction she propels so she kept on going over the cliff face to her death. Sign cast button plus forward arrow, perhaps?

With <space> + movement key Ciri teleports. Don't spam the keys then Ciri will not fall down the cliffs.

There's an important special attack you should know:

Teleport away some meters from the nearest opponents. Press and hold "Q". There will be a circle with growing diametre around Ciri. If you release the "Q"-button Ciri attacks all opponents in the circle - a high speed attack. You can't repeat that until the bar on the left side is filled again.

Later on there will be more special attacks which will be released by the middle mouse button (same way as if you would handle bombs or crossbows).

Interesting. Good to know. I've been releasing the Q button.
