Could you let me know which program files folder it is? Program Files or Program Files (x86)?
Updated, my issue solved!!

Just in case, to help out those who may have the same issue as me. For some reason the update file wasn't working at all from the Galaxy beta client.

1)Exit GOG Galaxy client

2) Verify the keys are correctly locating the Witcher 3 directory in your Windows registry. Use ------->RegEdit
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GOG.com\Games\1207664643

3) Download the "update" patch from the GOG website

4) Move the "update" file to Drive\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\x64\witcher3.exe

5) Execute "update" file.

6) Enjoy your game.

Yep. The galaxy client should update that when I move my game. When I uninstalled I guess it cleared it.

1) Did that
2) It isn't, what now?
3) Did that
4) Moved the downloaded update patch to the same folder as the Witcher3.exe
5) It says the game is not installed and all I can do is Exit
6) I want to but can't find a working solution.

94fleetwood94: The Galaxy client insists on constant update for the W3. Says "The Witcher 3 installation failed." Then says release within an hour...? It just keeps restarting the update process, this is really annoying.

Tried going to "!Downloads" folder and deleted the patch 1.01. That I assume is corrupted, but then restart the Galaxy client and same issue again...
I had the same problem. Exited GOG Galaxy, manually downloaded the patch from the official site and installed it, then turned on GOG Galaxy. It downloaded a second patch without a problem and the game is now running smoothly.

The download the patch from gog.com and install worked for me.
Where can I find the update patch on the site?
I tried to install the manual downloaded patch and it simply says game install not found..

I've had it pre-loaded for days and I am stuck with Galaxy saying it's still waiting for release... Help!
Ok guys I have had similar issues. This is what I did and surprisingly it worked.

1. Quit the GOG client from the task bar, exit from that program.

2. Download the patch manually from the website from official website: play witcher site

3. I can not install the patch when its in the download folder.

4. Copy the patch from download to

Windows (C;) -> GOG games -> ! Downloads -> temp -> 120*******(bunch of number folder)

copy the patch to this number folder.

5. install the patch. It worked for me in this folder but not the download folder.

6. open GOG again and it should have been installed and ready for playing.

Whesley: Where can I find the update patch on the site?
1) Log into your account on www.GOG.com.
2) Go to your account library.
3) Click on Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
4) (Under "Game Downloads") Look for PATCH 1.01
