CPU is no problem, you must have decent GPU to play the witcher 2 and 3. Come on guys, I'm playing this smoothly on a 2011 portable machine and his 860m is waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy more powerful than my card.

darthspudius: Power is not everything though. Heat distribution etc is a big part of it. Unfortunately games like these can cook a computer. It would greatly reduce the life of your machine if you put too many hours into something this forceful.

I think every computer has an air fan, they'd die within 30 seconds without one! :P

I mean one I can activate :P its so noisy tho but it helps a lot!

I personally use both, though I would never push my poor laptop to the degree of something like The Witcher 2/3. It could play it to be honest but you got to preserve these poor buggers. Saying that nearly 3 yrs and going strong!

My home pc does all the hard work. :D

Oh and don't forget to fetch an additional RAM module for your laptop, 8Gb isn't going to cute it.

Another 8Gb will do the trick ^^
