Hello there.

From some time I've been waiting on a sale for TW3. I'm not an obsessed fan but I consider myself a follower of Geralt's adventures. Now is maybe the perfect time to buy it (having a PC that can play it decently and the sale).

I'm wondering if it's worth it to start a new game of TW2 for the import choices (and items?). Is there any major consequence I should be aware?

To be honest, I like TW2 but I feel like an exhausting task to replay and/or reread the books just for TW3.

What's your opinion? Good choice? Not worth it?

Then don't do it. Most of the consequences are marginal, and you can simulate a savegame when you are starting TW3. Be aware of that fact. There will be an interview soon; answer the questions thoroughly in a way that pleases you.

One recommendation though: Wether you like Letho or hate him, let him be alive in TW3.

If you import the saves then the dialogue with Morcran Voorhis, answers will be selected automatically.
"Example"
"Did you kill the defending commander, Aryan LaValette, during the siege of La Valette Castle?"
If in Witcher 2 you killed him, you won't have any oportunity to say "No, I saved him"

No items will be saved if you import your saves.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
If you haven't imported your saves then,

You will have choice in the dialogue. Allowing old characters to appear in the game.

Hope this helps
