Greetings future players of the game of the year!

As indicated in the title, I have a very weak downloading speed, and therefore I had to download the game on my laptop using a friend's connection. Then I put the folder into an external hard drive.

The problem is that everytime I try to import the folder from my external HD to my PC, Galaxy says the import failed. Then I uninstall the game and it says a runtime error occurred because it was not possible to import this file: GameuxInstallHelper.dll.

So, if there is no way to fix this, I have two options: either download the game with my downloading speed (it will take approximately 36 hours) or I have to take my PC and everything and bring all the stuff to my friend's just to download the game again.

Please tell me there is a way for me to simply import the folder and be done with the pre-load x)

Thank you for your time and your answers anyways!

And a big high-five to CD Projekt, I really love you guys! :D

If everything setup correctly, once you've installed TW3 using offline installer, Galaxy will pick it up automatically (!) without manual import. In Galaxy settings select correct path for installed games and it should do. If not, problem may be because the drive you're using is external, not sure thought, have never encountered. Try setting thing up properly, then we'll see if something wrong.
Thank you for your answer!

What do you mean by using offline installer? Like transferring the game I downloaded from my external hard drive to the Galaxy folder?

EDIT: actually I clicked on the "+" on the top-left corner of the Galaxy app, then asked kindly the software to scan the folder where The Witcher 3 was on my external hard drive, and apparently the game was successfully installed, since now I have "Play" in transparent grey and "Release in 2 days" next to it.

So I guess everything is alright now.

Thank you again green-anger for your answer, and I wish everyone will be as patient as our old friend Geralt (well... actually he's not that patient in the books but anyway :P) and hope you'll all enjoy this huge game day one!

Sorry for the re-up, I confirm that the manual scanning through the "+" menu on the top-left corner did it correctly, since now in my library it shows that The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is installed.

My apologies for being nervous about the whole thing, everything is now just fine.

Hope it will also help others who might encounter the same issue.

Come on CD Projekt, show'em how legendary games are made!
I'm glad all worked out for you. And by this

I meant the (backup) installer you can find in Galaxy in "Download Extras" on the left side ("Game Installers") or grab directly in browser from the game page on GOG site. Currently, while Galaxy is still in beta, I install all my games using these installers. Because I like backing them up and Galaxy doesn't allow to install the game and grab its installer at the same time. You will have to download them separately which means double internet traffic.
Oh ok got it. Well I did not think about the backup installer while I was downloading the Galaxy version at my friend's, so I guess this path was blocked for me at home with my poor download speed.

I actually hope everything went smoothly, but the only way to find out is to wait for the 19th of May... So close and yet so far, just can't wait !! xD
