I just installed Witcher 3 from store bought CD-ROMS and am having nothing but utter fustration with GOG and GOG galaxy. When I start the Witcher 3 game it says it is ver. 1.02 so I assume patch 1.03 and 1.04 have not been downloaded yet, even though the change log is for ver. 1.04 and the game updated itself when it was first installed. Half the time when I start GOG galaxy it won't even log me in. When it does it starts updating the game with a 600MB update, which always crashes before it is even half-way finished. After it crashes the only way I and get it to try and update again is to go to the taskbar and to end the process for galaxy. Logging out and logging back in doesn't work. Nor can I manually try and click on the update or manually try to download any of the extra DLC. It just says Queued and never downloads anything. So I then tried to go to the gog.com website and manually download the update. When I do that and click on the update I get a 403 Forbidden error and cannot download anything. The game looks good but I cannot update it or get any extra content because of multiple problems with GOG it seems. Is anyone else having this problem? Can anyone help?

I don't know how is it GoG's 'utter failure', but I managed to download both patches and the DLC from the website in about 10 seconds time.

patch 1.03
patch 1.04
Temerian armor set
Beard and Hairstyle set
New quest
Yennefer alternative look

That's a common bug at the moment, although not for all people.Server has had problems
the last couple of days.I suggest contact support and only once as the second one becomes
the first.
Even though I am still having problems with Galaxy I found a way to manually download the files without getting a 403 Forbidden Error. I simply take the download links and I remove the "S" from https, making them normal http links. I can then save the file. Still wouldn't mind having the galaxy problems sorted out though.

Galaxy is still beta,it will take a while yet.

That is a problem with your web browser, it cannot access secure sites. What browser are you using?
i´m haveing exactly the same problems.
bought DVD Version in shop, installed the game and cant update to 1.03, 1.04 nor download anything.
plus its not possible to connect the game to the library or connect it via galaxy to the library

cant be the browser, since i tested 3 different ones on 2 different computers (one at home, other at work) ....

fenriswolfen solution isnt working for me (delete the "s" at the link) to download the files manuell; it shows Error 403 - Forbidden.
Have you redeemed the code on the back of your manual?
Nope, not yet.
Since it says : With the Code i can get additional content.
Patches aren´t additional content in my opinion, its bugfixing to make a program working that way it should work at its release.
If i really need to enter a code to get Patches (not DLC´s !), it would be a kind of DRM, despite the promises made in advertisements.

But i will test it if that is really the problem.

Thank ye for yer hint!
