i wanted to reinstall windows so i though that i can maybe copy all game files that i have into my virtual harddrive and after i reinstalled windows just put it into the gog games folder. does this work?

You're obviously talking about Galaxy, so once you reinstall Windows and reinstall Galaxy, place the files back into the Galaxy game folder and have it repair the installation.

Hickory: You're obviously talking about Galaxy, so once you reinstall Windows and reinstall Galaxy, place the files back into the Galaxy game folder and have it repair the installation.

It will still do some housekeeping, being a new installation, but it won't have to download everything.
