Ok, so this isn't something I purchased online. I paid money at the store for this game. It's brand new. I brought it home and the instalation process took hours. My laptop meets all the darn minimal requirements and such. The game came with 4 game disks plus a bonus soundtrack. It's installed, but not whenever I go to play it I apparently have to login to GOG to do so, and stupid GOG won't let me play. I see a "RELEASE IN LESS THAN AN HOUR" next to the play button, and when I click the play button I get a freakin window pop-up that says "GPU does not meet minimal requirements. Support for DirectX11 is needed." -That's bullshit!! I have the requirements and I already freakin installed DirectX11! Can you guys just please let me play my game that I spent almost 60 dollars for for god's sake??!

Does your graphics card support DirectX 11 or did you just install the SW part? If it's not a secret it wouldn't be bad to specify what graphics card you actually have. Plus what driver version you're using. And whether you installed the updates to 1.06 as well.

Take it back to the store and ask for a refund...don't know if ignorance is an excuse, but you can try...;) The game simply won't run on anything less than DX11-hardware...this game, unlike many other older games, doesn't simply "support" DX11, it *requires* it. It won't be much longer before you see "requires DX12" support for games--only it will happen much faster than it happened with DX10/11, imo. (Fortunately, most DX11 hardware will also support much of the DX12 feature set.)
What is the graphics card? If it is a mobile card then it could be that it might still not support the game, regardless of whether or not it can handle DX11. The error message could just be the closest answer the system can come up with for why it is failing.
Not saying this is the case, just throwing ideas out there.
