Also, please note that I uninstalled the original Witcher quite a while ago and presently have no access to it. Are these saves from the Ice Plains in the end?

End saves are usually at the Order of the Flaming Rose, Geralt standing with Dandelion next to the Grandmaster.

I have no idea if not having TW installed is a problem, but I heard of some issues. My idea is that it should work, if you have your My Documents/The Witcher/saves directory intact and the savegame you want to use in there. Might be a good idea to move the other saves out of there, so you can easily identify the save you want to import. If the folder doesn't exist anymore, just create it new, but the path needs to be correct (depending on your OS).

thelazyreader: Pardon me, but that link you gave me says 'Access Denied!' Do you know any other place for me to download saves?

AudreyWinter: I'm sorry the link doesn't work from your location.
Why don't you just google it yourself? "Witcher savegame" should give you enough hits for your region.
Believe me, I've tried. But I just can't find a savegame that is
-At the Ice Plains
-Has the Order path with dead add OR Scoiatel path with living Adda

My only save where Adda is dead, is on the Neutral path, but I do have a save for the Scoia'tael path, with Adda alive. I usually keep two save files when I've finished a playthrough: One right before confronting Jacques in the Ice Plains, and one after having looted his corpse, before triggering the end credits. If this is to your liking, you can get it here: Link

Out of curiosity, why is it so important to have one save from the Ice Plains?

When the game first came out, some people reported problems getting their post-Jacques saves in the chapel to import properly. Any save in the Ice Plains seems to import fine. I'm not sure if it's been addressed for not, because all my final-saves are right before the Jacques fight.

I see. Well, since release, I've always used my save from after he's dead without any issue.
I've also used only saves from the very end of the game. And they weren't even mine, but downloaded ones, since I misplaced my own ones.

Alright, I decided to get my collection of TW1 completed saves in order. These are the ones I have so far; going to start the Scoia'tael path tomorrow. Each of these has one save at the Ice Plains, right before confronting the Grand Master, and one after he has been killed and all that remains is to talk to Dandelion in order to trigger the ending cutscene.

EDIT: I've uploaded my final saves to the Nexus, so you can find them there from now on.

So many good samaritans! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If it's any help, Kindo, I'd recommend uploadstation and fileserve for future uploads. They're both low-profile compared to rapidshare, megaupload and the like.

Hmm... I'll take a look at them at some point, later. This will have to do for now - considering to upload them to the Nexus as well.

Updated my previous post with the Scoia'tael saves I just finished compiling.

Namur: Yep, Raven Armour - check ;)

I'm going to upload my save to media fire. I assume that you can install the game and load up the save to make sure the choices i made are indeed what you are looking for, it's been a while and i'd hate to inadvertedly mislead you due to my bad memory. I think it all checks out but it's best if you check for yourself just in case.

I'll edit this post in a little while with the link.

Edit: linky

Ok, the link is up, let's hope that's the one you're looking for.
Sorry for "the living dead" thread, but I lost my tw1 savegames and yours was exactly what I needed... So thanks a lot :)

You're welcome ;)
Damn.. i can't import save game. I've tried also to do a manual save in the courtyard... nothing. Witcher 2 says i can't import because Witcher 1 save are not found. I've also open a thread in the official forum.
I'm kind of late to working on WItcher 2 but could use a game save just after killing the Kayran. All the saves people posted in the past are expired. Would also prefer it to be a normal save not one someone has maxed out everything. Thanks
