Btw which savegame file is needed for the witcher 2? Is there some sort of clear file or? I still need to get my savegame from my brother sigh.... i gave him my pc 1 year ago.

It would be far more perfect if someone can give me my choices:P:

I sided with the templars, chose Triss as Guardian and killed off all the elves i think...... And siegfried was my ally. Some parts have become vague memories(Thaler for exsample, it would help if anyone explained every situation with a spoiler tag to help me remember)

Prologue- Defended Laboratory

Chapter I
The Escort - Vesna is MIA
Racist encounter - Helped Zoltan
Nonhumans - Talked to Scoia'tael and left them be
Destiny - ?

Coleman - ?
Path - ?

Chapter III
Guardian - Triss
Thaler - Let Thaler live(been years and no idea who he is!)
Werewolf - Helpt him alive and let him help me
Bank Robbery - With Siegfried

Chapter IV
Conflict - ?
Forgiveness - killed Berengar
Path (major choice) - Sided with the templars

Chapter V

That's in Windows 7 (and Vista?); in XP I think it's My Documents/The Witcher/saves

Namur: Linky

There you go guys, the same save but with the neutal choice at the end of CHIV.
Thanks for posting this.

Just installed Witcher 2 and forgot I lost my saves.

been a while since I played it so I'm fuzzy on some things mentioned.

CAn someone tell me, is this a neutral (IE most like Geralt in the books) and Triss save?

In that save Gerald chose Triss as his lover and he took the neutral path regarding the major choice in the humans/Scoia'tel conflict at the end of CH IV.
The other save i posted earlier in the thread is the same except Geralt sided with the Scoia'tel at the end of CH IV.

Btw, it seems some folks can't import their saves unless they have another save made in the Ice Plains. If that's the case let me know and i'll upload saves made on the Ice Plains for both versions.
do the save carryovers do anything besides choices?

i mean do you get a boost in any stat? an item or clothing to start? ect?

meaning is there anything that carries over besides the choices you made? i know like fire emlem game it would give you a boost in a character of like 2 stat points or something minor

I know at least swords and armor carry over, i just started TW2 and Geralt has the ones he had at the end of TW1.
I don't know why but i don't have my sihill. Aerondight and Raven armour is there but sihill isn't

Yeah, same here, the steel sword didn't carried over :|
My savegames from the second playthrough don't get recognized, while the ones from the first ones do. Any ideas why? I want my second one, liked it more :(
Yeah. Somethings up. It keeps telling me that my saves are unavailable. I'm on Windows Vista Ultimate x64. My saves are in the default location. What gives?
First off, thanks to Namur for his help. I'm hoping it won't come to using your saves though!
Does anyone know what the problem is exactly, and how to fix it so I can use my own saves? Does anyone know if there's going to be a patch coming to address the problem?

Part of me wants to know if there are any major changes to the storyline if you import your game... part of me of course doesn't want to know because it'd probably spoil some of the story. MAAAAAN... decisions decisions.
