So the ratings board in Australia didn't pass The Witcher 2 because of "sex as a reward" or some nonsense and the game had to be modified to be released.

My question is, will the GoG version that I preordered be the same as what civilised places get, or is it going to be censored like the retail version in Australia?
This question / problem has been solved by Thievimage
I Would also like to know this.
Want to know wether to purchase from gog, or if im going to have to import it.

Thanks for the info, more recently a CDPR member confirmed on Kotaku's Australian site that the GOG version would be the same as the international version so no doubts about it now.

Here you go, it's further down in the comments section. You could question its authenticity but it looks legitimate enough.

Ah yeah cheers man, yeah hopefully it isn't some troll who has decided to mess with all us Australian witcher fans..
Hi I have a witcher 2 for quite some time now and I noticed its got (AU) next to it when I look at it in my GOG galaxy library. I thought the Australians would get the international version. Has this changed?

Was wondering that, too. When I access my account through the website there is no such note.
Bump, why is our copy of the witcher 2 the AU version? has it been changed to the censored version? Please fix it and change it back to the international version!
Yeah , it's absolute crap. I plan to play W2 through before W3 comes out, andI intend to play the uncensored version.

Has anyone actually played this AU version and gotten the parts that have apparantly been censored? They're the resolution of the quest with the Succubus and one with an elf in chapter 2, I think.

I wonder if it's just a name change or if it really is censored. Wishful thinking, as I think it probably will be censored.

I've noticed the game's title in games library in my browser and in GoG galaxy does not have the AU tag next to it anymore like it used to.
I redeemed a US copy of the game I imported through Amazon because I live in Australia. My current install did seem to be censored but I installed it more than a year ago according to my save file dates.

One scene with a prostitute underneath the inn in Flotsam seemed to be censored where you only see her head against the pillow of the bed and then a low shot of the bed's legs bumping around and a pillow falling to the floor, the end. I can't remember if there was supposed to be more to it then that particular sex scene when I installed it via my retail game discs not through gog.com.

Attempting a reinstall to see if it was removed and now have the uncensored version like I should have.

Confirmed. It is now uncensored after 'testing' one of the lasses under the inn of Flotsam. Showed a lot more than it did before.

Mine still has the AU tag next to it. Does anyone else still have it?

My AU Tag is gone and it is good to see that on the product page says i own it now- when i had the AU tag it used to acts as if i didn't own it

does that mean it would be better to download it now, will it be the same as everyone else's

now i only have to put up with the fallout games saying i don't own them, as i have the classic versions, But then again i have all these goodies that new purchasers at this time won't get
