I'm extremely impressed by how good looking the game is, even with a lot of the settings turned down. I have old hardware, so I opted to put textures on max and turn on AA, everything else is off/low, yet the game still looks amazing.
I too love the descriptions in the journal, it's just a really nice touch that they're so detailed and full of character. Actually the journal as a whole is one of the best I've seen in a game for ages, it's easy to find the information you're after and logs so much detail especially about NPCs that you meet, I've found myself just sitting reading through it for fun and check it regularly for new entries.

+1

I've said this before, but to me Witcher 2 feels like a real genuine sequel just like Baldurs Gate II did a whole decade before.
Dying 15 times to the Kayran and then finally beating it with a sliver of life left :D

I love the wide array of choices, the graphics are incredible..the voice acting is much better (besides iorveth/kingslayer) and personally I like the combat

Most if not all AAA games come with bugs in the beginning and I have only found a few small ones

So it gets an A+ from me

I like the difficulty, the tactical nature of the combat, the story, and the atmosphere.

But what I like the most is the fact that when TW1 was released, CD Projekt Red supported the hell out of it. I look forward to watching this game get better and better...
So far?

Nothing, nothing at all about this game makes me love it.

maybe it is not your style playing rpg?
Just entered the town of vergas or vergen (dwarf town) and the production value in this game is true the roof.

The last time I saw something similar were back in the baldurs gate era or at time of the vampire the masquerade. It's rare to find games nowdays who doesn't just copy and paste textures.

It feels like every juncture you turn there's always something else to explore. Every texture in this game feels hand painted like a living canvas.

I've almost given up on gaming completly thanks to the dumbing down of games/generation (I blame all the console for this crap, betsheda, ubisoft). The Witcher 2 seems like it's the true vision the devs originally had planned back in witcher 1.

This game is truly the king of all sequels.

The music when I just entered the town of vergas, wow..

Also the voice acting is superb, especially on the woman who plays sarskin, what a great voice actor.

So far so good!!

Obviously you're not a witcher fan, why buy a sequel to a game you don't like? Makes no sense at all.

This is a SEQUEL to witcher 1, and if you're not a fan of the wither lore, well this isn't your game.

I love the fact that it is a mature game.

I love the fact that they say fuck, not frag.

I love the fact that it is not pure evil or pure good, but a lot of different shades of grey.

I love that all characters (of any importance and even those of less) are very different.

I love the fact that some side quests feel like a little story of their own (more of those, less of fetch x of y item).

Etc.
