Despite having a reasonably powerful gaming laptop, I'm not even get a constant 30FPS on medium at 1600x900. Can usually max out most multiplatform games at my native res of 1920x1080 and even Crysis 2 ran well on high at that resolution.

I've heard that we shouldn't have the 3D drivers for Nvidia as they mess with the game. Should I uninstall these as I never use the feature anyway or does it only cause issues if it's actively running?

Really enjoying the game so far and the Cut scenes show off just how beautiful it is (and those run surprisingly well as opposed to in game). Was hoping to get to enjoy this at around high at 1600x900 at the very least but no such luck so far.

My Specs:

G870 (built on clevo W870CU)
17.3" 16:9 LED 1920 x 1080 X-Glass Screen
Intel® Core™ i7-720QM 1.60 GHz
4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666 RAM at 1333MHz
NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 285M 1GB GDDR3 (roughly equivalent to a Desktop 260 in terms of performance in a lot of titles)

Uh?

Why are you asking something that takes you less than 10 seconds to uninstall and find out about yourself?

I uninstalled the 3d drivers on my laptop, didn't help at all performance wise on this game.

Good luck!

In case anyone else here had a similar setup to me and was experiencing the same issue/had solved the problem!

Plus, I find that mobile GPUs are usually overlooked in optimisation so if enough people complained maybe CD projekt would take a look and see what they could do.... :P

Restarting my laptop now with the drivers uninstalled to see what happens!

According to that, 285M is ranked as the 8800GTX and 4770 in desktop. So it might really be hard in 1080p.

Well your GPU is simlar to a desktop 9800GT, or +, so according to specs you and I should at least get a good fps at low or medium, but that's not the case here.

Maybe uninstalling the 3d drivers will help you? I uninstalled the 3d drivers an rolled back a to 260.66 but im still having bad performance!

I hope it works out for ya sir ;)

17.3" AND 1920x1080 WOW super resolution!!? I'm running a 24" 1920x1200 BUT am only using center timings and game is at 1600x900 full screen (black bars all around)cause my screen is so close to me. GTX 570 using 266.58 drivers..others were complaning about the newest drvr elsewhere in this forum roll back if that applies to you.

Yeah, I've learned not to trust that site so much with the rankings. Believe me, my performance far exceeds those two cards (have a variety of performance threads on notebookreview.com that show that!).

Still, turning down most settings just isn't giving me the sort of FPS boost it should. Most things barely knock it up by 1 or 2 frames which shouldn't be the case at all.
Tried the driver uninstal and no improvement :(
