Some of them check the forum from time to time, for example Marcin360 checked today and answered a few questions. You have a point in wanting them to check the problems but the thing is they'll probably not check the forums too frequently for seeing what problems people experience because you can always send an e-mail to support team and let them know what problems you have.

We are working on brining you patch 1.3 as soon as possible. We just want to make sure we get as many fixes in as possible. The patch won't be available this week but it is coming.

As far as official forums, there has been some progress but it's going to be some time before we bring them back online (won't be too long though).

I hope this clears it up a bit.

On the side note - I can't tell you what exactly will patch 1.3 include other than missing aspect ratios like 16:10, 4:3, 5:4.

A shame. :(
It's a pity you obviously have quite some trouble with that third party responsible for the forums.
I'm really looking forward to having a central, well-structured place for the community.

Thanks for the update, Marcin!

PS: I can't help asking - there aren't any news concerning mod-tools, are there? Something like "If at all, then after X360-release", "We're working on a solution, independent from X360-development" or "Not going to happen" would be helpful, already. :-)

It's nice you are working on the patch so you can not give the details but how about the things you finished and still haven't give to us? I am referring to the endings, ofcourse :) when will we see a detailed ending chart?

Excerpt from an interview with Tomasz:

GB: Do you plan on releasing an editor for The Witcher 2 in the same vein as what we saw with the Djinni adventure editor for the original game? If so, when might modding enthusiasts expect to get their hands on it?

Tomasz: We were impressed with what our community members were able to do with the first game. So, support for modders is definitely on our wish list although we’re not prepared to commit to anything at this moment. At best, the current outlook is probably not this year.

I can't wait for the mod tools. Please release them soon!

Well, thanks for the reply - It seems you do read the forums. Happy to see that you do not forget the communication you have with the first Witcher on the old forums. Maybe this game is having good future after all. Thanks again.
And congratulation for your nomination - (The Witcher 2 nominated for The Best RPG of this year’s E3!).

Oh, I'm sure this game has a bright future this year. The graphics alone may get a museum display (far fetched...maybe..but it is legitimate art). So far, the other RPG releases have paled against it (And DA:2 left a poor impression overall). Skyrim appears to be the only game that can stand against it, and it won't be out till tail end of Q4. The only other game that might steal a little thunder this year is "Age of Decadence". Graphics will be considered weak but they have a unique RPG play system I've never seen before. Choices to deal with obsticles look vey complex.

What about this? http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/where_is_the_official_forum/post31
After reading what you posted there, and the fact that it was posted over a month ago, it's hard believing anything until it actually happens.

I know that you have to do it as far as post-launch support is concerned...but personally I feel like home here at GOG's W2 forum and don't need the official one :)

That would be fine if there were sub forums here, but there are not, so while you did say you personally feel the official ones are not needed, making it a personal opinion, many would disagree.

Well, that is not good, not good at all. And they hurt themselves badly by withholding the modding support. The modding community will die, before it even has a chance to flourish (as seen on the Nexus, the possibilities are already near exhausted). This will diminish the replayability of the game and ultimately the long term sales.

Plus, we need to fix a lot of "features" which they can't even deliver with patches. ;)
Ouch, no mod tools this year
