the controls and engine of this game are mega crap. If I knew that first I would have to learn nonsense from the keyboard, I would not even buy it. The Witcher 1 was great, this is the shit here.

Just do yourself a favour and buy an XBox controller... It's the golden standard of PC gaming since forever. KB+M is not optimal for this game, period.

I too preferred Witcher 1 over Witcher 2, also when it came to controls and combat. But it is what it is. The Witcher games too went down the path of consolitis, although it's certainly not as bad as in many other games (but TW2 is worse than TW3). It takes a bit of time to get used to the combat, if that's what you mostly refer to. In TW2, you basically roll around a lot. Looks pretty silly, but it's either that or die all the time :D

The engine is perfectly fine though, excellent even.

I thought W1 was great. So far, W2 is BARF! I've spent 2 hours watching cut scenes in order to play about 30 minutes. I wanted to play a game, not watch cheesy videos.

The QTEs are ridiculous. Turned them off, but still have to put up with scenes like fist-fight where the prompts flash so quick I can't tell what they say.

Inventory much worse than W1 and you can't even put potions in a quick slot. Character development and alchemy also much worse.

Wonder how ppl manage to play videogames using controller XD, i used to play on console when i was a kid that was 17 years ago, but nowadays i can't drop the keyboard and mouse, the response on controls in this game are very good tho, started my game on dark as i usually do on games i never played, suffered a bit but now its fine.
