The combat doesn't 'just suck', YOU suck at learning. I'm playing it on hard, and am currently not having problems because I'm learning the game, and loving it. I use potions, traps, signs and think on how to approach the fight

Please stop stating your opinions as facts, or better yet, try turning it down to easy if you really can't learn.

just because its possible to play does not mean that its the best way it can be.

my reason is the blocking should not take vigour. but should not allow for assassin creed like counters

madant: the funny thing is your bagging the controller even thou you havnt even used it, give it a try before you write it off, you'll be surprised at how well it works, better than the keyboard and mouse i say!

And no im not saying the controller is better than keyboard and mouse period, just saying for this game it works better:)

Hmmm... for what, less control with less detail in movement, less buttons, and a feeling of playing on an wrong control scheme? No thanks. :) If I wanted that I'd buy a console and never bother with anything, including playing the fricking game.

So many children crying like little girls on this forum. If the combat is so bad, then how come some of us are on hard/insane difficulty and have no issues?

Shut up and adapt or be done with the game, the combat doesn't need to be revamped just because you suck at it.

I agree with cloud8521, if you think something needs to be patched or plain suck, at least state a valid reason instead of "ugh yeah uh combat is teh sux0r".

EDIT before the trolls attack me, hahahah

I have ZERO problems if you don't like a certain aspect of the combat, like we've said before the devs can't make a game for everyone, but please provide constructive criticism.

Yes, for things like Super Meat Boy, FIFA and Mortal Kombat, maybe some very slow TPS. Everything else is just trying to play with a construction crane.

To those who feel that the game is too hard for you there is already an easy option for you. And for the Nth time because you suxs at the game please don't request CDPR to tone down difficulty because you SUCK at the game. For the first time i have never play such a beautiful game with brilliant combat and it breathes life into gaming.

I can't really believe people refuses to use the EASY settings and then go into forums accusing the game combat suxs when they themselves not admitting that they are bad at it.

So by the LOGIC that i SUCK at shooter games then the shooter games combat must BAD. Also i SUCK at RTS.. they should not MAKE RTS because it's BAD and it so freaking hard.. Damn these people are really getting on my nerves.

this thread is not about sucking its about how much fun they have with the system how it is set up. its so easy to win in this game and its not fun doing it

Like anything new it'll take time for people to fully appreciate the changes,there are times when you try to move away and Geralt just stands there which is very annoying.

First impressions for me is that the Witcher 1 combat was more enjoyable as it punished you for getting out of step..

/me approves +100!

I used to suck at BF 1942 until I learned. I used to suck at Starcraft 1 until I learned. I used to suck at DA:Origins until I learned. Few games gave me more pleasure in the learning experience than The Witcher 2! Actually, none! Normal became quite easy now but I'll stick to it until the end. When I go Insane is to complete the game without dying once and that's a mighty feat. (anyone done it yet? I don't want to be the first, just one of the few that will never DIE. Dying sucks! L2P rules!
