Im in Chapter 2, and the only DLC that show up is the Alchemy suit, I didnt find of the other outfits in my inventory, and I havent seen this merchant yet, I wish some of this DLC had instructions, they all said to have installed successfully and I see all the dzips in my cookedpc folder

Cadenza: "Not enough privileges to patch the game"

I'm patched to 1.1 already.. not sure what's going on.

hanns.g: Find the Application "Swordsman Suit" etc. in your downloads folder and right click to run as admin.
Oh, god I'm retarded.
avatar
Corylea: I thought that post meant that people who legitimately owned those things could get them, not that they were releasing them for anybody who wanted them. I hope CDPR clarifies this, for those of us who have some qualms.
avatar
Jamanticus: I am confused now. CDP stated that they'd release all that pre-order DLC to everyone, didn't specify when, but I assumed that this was it. Where do the qualms come from?
Though they did say they say that. They said they would be released in a bundle, that may cost money. They in a later statement they said that all DLC would be free and if they were to charge for something it would be an expansion pack, not DLC.

Plus if they really meant for everyone to have everything, i think it would have been one email address that sent you all the links or the links would have been posted on the site.
Edit: weird formating.

If you are retarded, so am I. Took me 10 minutes to realize the solution.

But then I just rolled out of bed...

so... it's normal that all dlcs besides troll dlc have 1 kb in cooked pc folder?

shirakani: Tested, all working. DO NOT USE THE LAUNCHER. Hell, don't even bother with the Launcher anymore for anything at all. Run the witcher2.exe manually in the bin folder to run the game, easier. The launcher is a waste of time.

All this really does is put the corresponding .dlc files in the CookedPC folder. If you previously had the decrypted .dzip versions from TEH INTERNETS, then you can leave those there and they will work too.

Otherwise, just make sure the corresponding .dlc files are in the CookedPC folder and just run the game, it will all work.

astrallite: Where do you get decryped .dzips? The ones listed in this forum show up in green text in Windows Explorer which mean they are encrypted. How do you decrypt them ?
The decrypted dzips are widely available anywhere, google it. They were circulating less than a day after the game was released. The only one not available was the Finisher pack as the servers went to hell before anyone could get it.

But, they aren't needed anymore. The official downloads provided in this thread will work once you patch the game to 1.1.

The DLC is misleading, very damn misleading. I actually feel sorry for ppl who preordered based on the DLC and expecting a full suit...

Swordsman Suit = bunch of potions and whetstones, as well as sword runes
Alchemy Suit = mage leggings
Roche Jacket = Blue striped combat jacket

Anything 'suit' really isn't a suit. Expect ONE piece of very quickly outdated gear, or a bunch of recipes/potions/etc.

The Mysterious merchant is marked with a blue dot on the minimap.

Troll trouble is a quest posted on the bulletin board.

OK, I have a solution for you. Just send an email to all those addresses with this quiestion: I didn't bought boxed version of game so I have no right to DLC, can you send me one, please?

If you get an answer with link to download DLC I think you can assume you are in the clear.

HTH
Hm is that only for the gog.com version?

I have the retail copy and the patch 1.1 and cannot install those dlc from the links above!

Run as admin.

99% of all install issues on vista/windows 7 problems you could ever have are easily solved by running whatever as admin.
yep this was the problem!

I thought I tried that before...hm weird!

Thanks anyway mate!
I think CDPR didn't release the exclusive DLC as to obtain the DLC players need to email specifically for the DLC they are entitled to.

Someone must have compiled all the download links and leak it out.

Gvaz: you can get whetstones in chapter 3 im pretty sure

Tracido: Really, I'd like to find them then, can you remember or find out which mechant? I scoured Act 3 to no avail personally, would be nice to find replacements in my current playthrough.
I had asked on the previous page but, it probably got buried as the page moved onto the 3rd with the next post, I really would like to know which merchant has them.

RageGT: ... I don't use bonus items anyway. Found out that the game is even more fun with the original items...
After installing and looking at the DLC, I feel the same way. Maybe later I'll change my mind but right now they're too powerful and take away a lot of the fun.

No, you're wrong. They released the dlc for everybody and made all copies DRM free. And as they say, if you have a problem with that, deal with it! =)

You're a friend so you know I'm joking but you're too obsessed with piracy and stuff. Live and let live. Just call the cops if you see someone selling illegal DVD's of the game on the streets where you live!

The packs are:

alchemy_suit.dlc - Herbalist's Gloves + a pack of ingredients (ultimate)
swordsman_suit.dlc - Adds 10 Whetstones and Whirls pots - Not sure if anything else (ultimate)
magical_suit.dlc - Mage's Trousers (ultimate)
roche_jacket.dlc - Roche's Armor
dlc_finishers.dlc - More finishing moves
merchant.dlc - Misterious Merchant

No. They didn't. The automailer was the quickest resolution to the DLC download issue for those customers who purchased the game with a promissory note/coupon/pack which indicated inclusion of the DLC.

Everything else is just bending over backwards to justify piracy. There is no justification. Use the auto-mailers whilst not having purchased one of the DLC deals, you're piratical scum.

This is hardly complicated. Admit it and move on.
