Rammurg: I'm also seeing barely any performance improvement. GoG version, HD5770 GPU, 3,2GHz Quadcore CPU. Still between 30-40fps usually, with occasional drops to 20-30 (which are the thing that bothers me, I'm totally fine with 30-40).

Settings: 1600x900, High, SSAO off, and all the other most demanding features off.
Is this with Uber off? if so...must be the graphics card.

I only have an E8400 Core 2 3.0 (OC'd to 4.0 though that doesn't change my performance) and I get minimum 30 FPS..but average is 45. Peaks up to 85 indoors..but typical indoors is 65 average. I do have a 6850 though, OC'd a little.

This is with everything on max except I turn off Motion Blue and uber.

svjarbeau: Could someone tell me where to find the Gog patch....??? I am having one of those days and just can't seem to find it. Thanks

neonism: go to your gog account, check the witcher 2 files, you'll see the patch as a bonus file
Thank you so much neonism!!! I am new to Gog...and obviously my brain is just not in working mode today!
After patching, I got no improvement in frame rate according to fraps. I thought I did for a second, and then I realized everything looked worse and, oh hey, patching lowered my settings to low spec.

My hardware includes an HD5770, 4GB RAM, and an AMD Phenom II X4 925 quad-core processor. Some people with similar hardware seem to be getting better performance, though.....
5770 here w/11.5b hotfix...it's now 40-50fps outdoors with SSAO and Motion Blur/Blur Effects off. Was hoping for 60 with both on, but eh, I'm pretty pleased. Feels very smooth.

A bit off topic but are you the same Rather Dashing from the Telltale forums?
