I can play fine on High settings but only get about 15fps on Ultra, so I'm guessing you'll need multiple cards in SLI/Crossfire to be able to play properly in Ultra.

(Latest nvidia drivers including 3d btw)

After some tweaking (basically just turning off ubersampling in advanced menu) I'm able to play on ultra settings
Yes me too , the game is stunning everything maxed and runs like a charm! i believe somehow uses both cores from the 5970, The Witcher 2 graphics are insane it seems all the time like a movie or better i can't believe it! i am very very happy :)

Using this configuration (old I know) on ULTRA (UberSample OFF) :

E8500 (not OCed)
4Gb ram (800 MHz)
XFX GTX 260+ (latest stable driver, no 3D)
Win7 Pro 32b

Works quite well, still have to try the outdoors scene but seems to work like a charm...
