Can't find a bunch of info regarding any big performance boosts, but fixes Crossfire, check it out HERE.
On single amd gpu's the difference is hardly noticable, i checked it.. But it"s nice to see that crossfire finally gets support.
Going to try this out on my old Crossfired 3870's tonight. Good find!
I dont have crossfire and noticed a difference on my single 4890

How noticeable was the difference for you? Installing it now, I'll report back how my 6850 did in 10 to 15 mins.
There was not a huge fps boost or anything (i bet the 1.1 patch should help with that) but the fps was more stable and it felt "smoother".

The main menu from in game didn't feel so laggy but it was still there and easy to tell with the software cursor.
There's a report over at guru3d about this driver (I think) saying that it introduces a number of visual artifacts to TW2. Anyone here getting that?
This is why I sold my AMD 4870 and upgraded to a GTX 570, AMD drivers are terrible. I like AMD cards, I really do, but their driver support is slow and just plain bad compared to Nvidia who almost always have a driver ready for any game launches.

Thanks for the heads up. I shall pass it for now and may be install it when further info is available and after 1.1 patch comes.
I am in no rush to install this. My performance is fine w/ the 11.5a hot fix. I will wait.

They were working on it pre-release and everything was good but they said they weren't able to have access to the final version/sometimes that happens..apparently something changed in the final version.

I don't trust it!

that driver isn't up on the AMD site, so until I see an official AMD link I ain't touching it.

I kinda think that if this were even remotely legit then that dude who actually MAKES the hotfixes would have a post up on his twitter.

No problem. I still don't have my gaming video card, but all the current events with The Witcher 2 and patches, crossfire scaling etc. are giving me a really hard time choosing what video card to buy...
Are Mobility Radeon HD 5650 users need that too?
