Hey there....
I want to play the game on my Debian. Should I install the linux version from the libary or I have to install the windos version via wine? I have heard that the linuxversion run very bad and the "wine-way" will give me more performance.
What should I do? Anybody with experience here?

Hello Patsche85,

You should play the native Linux version - it was updated multiple times already after the release, and the initial performance issues were addressed. Please make sure that you meet the minimum requirements for the game and also that you install package dependencies in your Debian system - they are listed on the product page: https://www.gog.com/game/the_witcher_2

Ah okay. Thx for reply. This is my Setup:
I5-6600k
AMD R9280X
16GB DDR4 RAM

But I have seen yet that the linux version does not support Intel and AMD cards. That is very sad ....
Do you have any experience with AMD Cards? Why they are not supported?

Sorry for the late reply.

When the Linux port of Witcher 2 was released, it supported only NVIDIA cards. Since that, Radeon opensource drivers improved significantly. We tested the game on Ubuntu 16.04 with Radeon R9 270X and it seemed very playable to me, but I cannot vouch that you won't encounter any issues.
