My retail version doesnt have the day one patch and I cant play v1.1 so i'm willing to buy this game AGAIN(own the CE retail) if the GOG version is v1.0 day one patch
Why can't you get the patches?

I dont want the new patch. It creates stuttering for me and the controller right analog stick doesnt work making some parts unpassable.

I cant play on m&kb because i'm left handed and use the arrow keys with numpad, but you cant reassign keys to numpad so I have to use the controller.

So I just want The Witcher 2 version 1.0(day one patch)

or you could wait for 1.2 possibly fixing it or maybe a driver fix and save money, but hey it's money to the devs. I don't know if it's 1.0 that's what I got when I downloaded it, I don't think it's been updated yet. don't quote me on that though i'm not going to download 9 gigs to check
Why can't you just reinstall the game, and let the patcher do the day one patch. As far as I know, 1.1 is a manual patch, so you could avoid using it on any version until 1.2, which will start using the auto-patcher again.

The retail version will not run without a patch being applied and the only patches available now are 1.1 standalone or 1.1 through the auto-update.

OP: Yes, the GOG version is 1.0 when you download it. You have to manually patch it to get 1.1.
If i'm not mistaken though, 1.1 does NOT load through the autopatcher, only the day 1 patch. So, reinstalling the game and not manually patching to 1.1 would get the OP to the patch level he wants to be at. Or am I misinterpreting his question?
Thanks for the reply everyone. I have tried to reinstall and it always applies v.1.1

I went ahead and bought the game again and loving it(drm free, day one patch& amd hotfix)

Game runs like butter now.
Well, on one hand I feel a little bad that someone felt the need to buy the game twice due to a patch.

On the other hand, I bought the first game 3 times just because CDPR deserves it.
