Hopefully someone from CDP Red will see this, I thought it was worth a new topic rather than getting buried in the patch thread.

Using a wired Xbox 360 controller after installing 1.1, only the d-pad works in menus, the analogue sticks are unusable. This is okay for the inventory and character screen, but now you can no longer scroll journal entries, so you can't read all the text in some of them unless you switch to KB&M.

The one positive is that the oversensitivity in the attributes menu has been fixed.
I'm going to hook up my xbox controller, will post if i have same problem
I noticed this too, it's pretty annoying.
Indeed, have same problem, other controller functions still work.
The 'Insert' key no longer switches to keyboard for me either. Which kind of compounds not being able to use the left analog stick in the quick menu.

Major oversight CDPR! I hope they fix this in the next patch
No analog LS control in QuickMenu is also annoying (hell they have fully broken Analog Stick functionality in v1.1)... was so relieved when i checked the first thing that did not work prior patch (Character Attributes Screen) and then came the realization that they broke Analog Stick functionality! :(

p.s. Small workaround (at least works for me until they hopefully fix analog sticks) in journal i can use mouse scroll wheel to scroll the entries...
Same problem here with Xbox compatible Logitech F310. No scrolling anymore with analog sticks and menues only with d-pad...

the "insert" key never worked for me so not a big change hehe
This truly is a joke.. they make a game with twitch combat then break the only way it can be played semi-comfortably.

What the hell are these idiots up to?

It's certainly not putting up a forum anyway.. Anyone else still not convinced that they're missing a forum in order to side step the critism?

I have no doubt that's exactly why, but unlike you, I totally agree with it. There is some good criticism, but 99% of it is mindless waaaaaaaaa! ;p

It used to work to switch from pad to keyboard for me. :/ But, not the other way around. I guess it's always been a bit broken, just now even more so? :p

they said that if the controller gets broken by the patch you need to do a reset to default in the launcher , way to go champ calling names people who do their best to make the game playable for more people with a lower staff than bigger companies and they have less funding too but still manage to make better games than the crap we get recently by more "professional" studios

Calm down!!!
No analog functionality is annoying/frustrating (IDK maybe will put the game on hold for me until they fix it), but i have faith in CDPR (hell i had to wait for patches on some AAA titles lately for months with no ETA or community communication), with CDPR you can at least see that they are doing something... trying to fix things (breaking some other things in the process :D ).

Yeah.. and I can read... pretty much a pre-requisite to writing... 'default' hasn't fixed anything, neither has reboot, unplugging, etc, etc.... so yes, name calling relevent... I've already had to put up with twitch combat, QTE's, scrolling menus, a list for an inventory, no pc monitor support (this one is a doozy, how the hell do you NOT support the display method of the machine you are creating it on and for? it's not the kind of thing you can just break), no full keyboard mapping, do I really have to continue here? And now I have to put up with this?

This is NOT the game I would have expected as a 'sequel' to Witcher 1.
