chautemoc: Thanks for the link. You've done a great job with this. I'll continue updating my thread for conservative folk that don't want to sort through everything.
As a conservative folk myself, I approve this message.

Thanks!
Sorry if this was brought up already, but does using mods disable Steam Achievements on the Steam version?
I have it on good authority a Witcher Nexus is in the works...

yay! I just asked for one in the forums over at the Nexus an hour or so ago, http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/48593-this-is-the-site-feedbackquestions-section/page__view__findpost__p__3165273 I was hoping it would happen. the first game had some great mods but the mod community was not that well known about, which was a bit sad. a high profile site like the Nexus could help that. I can't even begin to tell you how many mods for Oblivion and Fallout 3/NV I've gotten from there. my Mod managers are a tad unwieldy to sort through. :p
Another new mod hit the forums, including multiple HUD tweaks:

Mutagen for Every Skill
http://gamemodscore.org/showthread.php/410-MES-Mutagen-for-Every-Skill?s=a8a4a7575878aa9ae04f45ddd04f30dc

"This mod allows you to apply a mutagen to every skill you unlock in the skill tree."

Xealot42: Thanks for the link. Added that mod as well as the others he posted on that site as well.
While it seems nice, this will kill any possible challenge in the game. Two Greater Crits Mutagens at level 7, hard diff, and game is already a breeze now and fun too... incinerating and poisoning everything! lol
what i would like to see with mutigens and keep the game balanced. make it so you have to add the lowest type mutigen and upgrade the same to the greater. This would give it a feeling that its evolving. would also make you think about what to put in.

in short mutigen type perminent but upgradeable.

no idea how hard this would be. i think it would be cool though.

I think higher than "lesser" mutagens should also only be created via alchemy with certain lesser to normal to higher ratios, not via enemy drops or quest rewards. That plus this upgrade idea, would consequently make Mutagens a non-exploit game mechanic where players *can* put effort in specializing and if they do, get a reward out of it.

The other thing is, i don't get why the skills have slots anyway, the mutagens should be something of a separate character value - say, 5 slots that unlock over the levels where you can low level mutations and "create" higher level ones that then upgrade your mutation values.

Restriction of 5 - where it linearly unlocks at levels 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 and 25 would also make sure we can finely limit the amount of stat effects (so that 100% critical hits becomes impossible)

You rock, man! Thank you!
I don't know how you do all that AND have a life, seriously.
I hope it's possible to make the minimap locked and always point north. The arrow mod helps..but not by much.

Modders? ;)
Can we get a 16:10 resolution fix? Seriously, anyone who can do this for the gog version of the game, I'll donate to. I cannot wait for a fix for this.
what a great collection of mods! thanks.
can someone please make a mod for the menus. if I read progress of a mission or a book in my journal the white text on dark background bothers my eyes to the point where i basically can not read most of the content. if someone can make a mod that makes the menus like the gog forums i would greatly appreciate it (light gray background with dark text).

also if someone could allow a gamepad to have more button usage (for example use 360 controller or ps3 controller with the select buttons for map, northwest d-pad button journal, northeast d-pad button as quick save, etc...) i know you can use xpadder however i do not want to emulate the keyboard and mouse i want to be able to expand on the existing gamepad feature in the games settings.

if anyone can do any of these i will buy them a good old game (can you buy a game as a gift to someone on this website?) or i will buy someone a steam game. i am serious. these mods would make this already incredible game even more amazing for me and my eyes!

if these mods are not possible then please Cd Projekt if you read this please add this to an update for the game. lastly how do you check / download updates for this game?

when you say "can do this for the gog version of the game" , why would a mod be done for the gog version? wouldn't a mod work on all versions?
