Hey, I finished the game and I was going to craft the Zerrikanterment but it requires the "Dragon Scales"

However, I never got them anywhere, when I fought the dragon, I slew it in the forest but I couldn't loot anything the cutscene just took me back to Loc Muinn

When I killed the Draug, it auto-looted. Are you sure the same didn't happen for your dragon?
You can find Dragon Scales in one of the houses near the market at chapter 3.
I got a dragon scale by killing the operator and the end of the "From A Bygone Era" quest.

While we are on the subject of scales is there anything else you can craft with them other than the silver sword?

Not AFAIK.. After some research, I found out you can't get the scales if you go with Iorveth in the end of Chapter 1? I find it very irritating I can't make the best sword because I didn't go with roche
I got dragon scales after siding with Iorveth. The key is to KEEP siding with Iorveth the next time you are given a choice, don't go back on the plan you two come up with. I ran the ending twice in my Scoia'tael run, to see how it played out. One way you can't get them, because the area they are found in is locked off, (well, you might if you kill the dragon, I guess, but once the dragon is down, it's not like you have an opportunity to craft the sword) the other way you can.

ROFL sorry but that's just wrong. You can find a dragon scale when you go off to find the dagger to kill break the spell on the dragon.

Also FYI, the sword you get the gargoyle side quest is better.

Except that's not the only way to complete the game after siding with Iorveth, it's an understandable mistake.

And that's Roche quest? And just FYI to you that the sword from gargoyle quest isn't even near as good when doing magic based build

Nope, the dagger quest basically depends on whether you choose to help Philippa escape the dungeon or get the Nilfgardian ambassador to lead you to Triss. If you choose to go after Triss (that will escape whether you free her personally or not), then you can't get the dagger (and I'm assuming you won't be able to get the scale either).

Is this true? This means you don't have to bother siding with anyone. Which house are you talking about? most houses can't be accessed in chapter 3

You CAN get the dagger even if you go with Triss and dragon later. When you defeat the dragon you will come back to town and see Iorveth getting captured by some scums. Defeat them and you will get the dagger. However, you won't be able to lift the curse in that play through, you just get the dagger, meaning Saskia's curse can b e lifted even if you go for Triss, contrary to the choice presented. (just not in this game and this path, but the fact is you still have dagger for her).

Perhaps, I phrased it poorly. Yes, you can *eventually* get the dagger if you save Iorveth from the soldiers, but at that point, the game is basically over and you cannot go back and break the curse, so for all intents and purposes you cannot lift Saskia's curse if you go after Triss (in this game at least, let's hope the option will be open in a Witcher 3 game).

Yes, it is.
The house is near the tower in the center of the map. IIRC it was Philippa's (and I sided with Roche).

I couldn't find any yellow meteorite ore, though. Does it only come in random drops from enemies?

You need a sword to enhance your overkill magic build? The monsters and soldiers kill themselves just attacking you. Aard upgraded makes for repeated instant kills over and over. The overkill magic build is the most boring build in the game. It's free kills and half a sleep combat.

And the answer for dragon scale, you can find dragon scale with both Iorveth and Roche paths. Just play the darn game, seriously, and you'll find it. I found dragon scale with both play throughs and I wasn't even looking for it since the Gargoyle sword is better.

Actually, I tried fighting this scum, but could not - the first dialogue option did not lead to a fight, and the second one was "I don't car" or something like that.
So... How do I rescue Iorveth?
