I'm back with a brand new pc that I put together to be able to play TW2 with graphics a lil better than the XBox version :P Many things have happened after my first game install on the old pc and I'm a bit confused. Does the autoupdate function still work with the GOG version of the game? I just installed it and there was some kind of patching going on apparently but no message saying "You're the proud owner of TW2 patched to the formidable 1.2 patch" or anything like that. So, should I assume my game is patched or must I patch manually?

EDIT
And the fact the official game forum is still down is pure absurdity. Just saying ;)

When you click on the game icon and bring up the launcher it will automatically alert you that the new patch is ready and will ask if you want to download.

I don't remember if you just have to get to the launcher or if you actually have to click on "launch game" in order for it to notice the patch, but it will find it and will tell you.
Didn't auto-update for me... I had to first manually install the patch 1.1 exe, which updated the game to version 1.1

Then when I started the Launcher, it notified me of a new patch being available, and downloaded/installed 1.2 automatically.

Is there anything in game that makes it apparent the game has been patched?
I can't get 1.1 or 1.2 to install and the launcher doesn't prompt me to download a new patch. I don't think it up to date and if I try to install 1.1 or 1.2 it says "Installed game version is invalid or incomplete". I've tried the FAQ suggestions etc.

In game? On the 'Load Game' listing, hit 'delete' over a saved game; only 1.2 has this functionality. Also, all the pre-order DLCs are now included, so if you've got e.g. whetstones and a Blue Stripes combat jacket and you didn't download them separately before, you've got 1.2.

Hmmm. Remove mods, install the relevant 1.1 for your version (e.g. the patch in the 'My Account' section for GOG users, the auto-downloaded update for Steam users, etc). Then the launcher w/ 1.1 installed should detect and offer to download 1.2 for you.
