I can't help but notice a lot of people with ATI seem to have performance issues.

I have no issues running on high settings with :

E8500 @ 3.0Ghz
4Gb Ram
GTX 275 896Mo
Win 7 x64

edit : I run on 1920x1200 SSAO off

If this keeps going on im going to smash my hd5870 and buy myself an nvidia card. Damn this is annoying.
That's very odd, I have a similar set up to yours and it's running fine @1920x1200

i7920@3.4
6GB DDR3
ATI5870

I did turn off the blur effects and depth of field effects before I started because I don't like them anyway so don't know what perfromace gain I got from disabling them. Everything else is turned up except for "Ubersampling" (whatever that is).
I have a very similar setup as yours, only it's a laptop. 5870 as well.

Atrocious framerates. Ultra almost plays better than low.
Omg this is amazing

I did a lot of things so im not sure what caused my fps to go from 15 to 45.

Ill post them all though.

1. Run the game in windowed mode.

2. Enable Vssync and force it on with RadeonPro

3. Disable anti aliasing (also in radeon pro)

4. Max the Flip Size queue in Radeon Pro

5. Enable all optimizations available in Radeon pro

6. Fake the game to think my Graphics card is an Nvidia 465 GTX using RadeonPro (google the vendor ID).

I hope this info can help people out there sharing my problems. Cheers

Make sure you have Ubersampling turned off and also get the lastest drivers. According to tests i've seen online you should get around 30fps with that card and 16AF

not worth it, just be patience. I have seen lots of poor drivers optimization for certain games, and later they release new drivers. I'm sure ATi wont close their eyes in this issue.

I have nearly the same configuration, GTX 260+ for me.

I've tried the first 5 minutes (damn job !!!) and seems like everything is ok for me on ULTRA, with UberSampling off.

Still have to try outdoor scenes, may prove complicated with this setting.
How do you change AF for this game? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
A guy in the comments section of the video you posted recommended updating to the 11.5a hotfix. I'm doing it as we speak. Will report back with the results.
i7 920 @3,5ghz
GTX 480 stock clocks
12gb 1600mhz ddr3 ram
Intel SSD disk
Win7 64x

Running with bells and whistles on highest settings. SSAO & übersampling is turned off.
Very depressing performance here:

System:

Gigabyte P55 motherboard
i7 920
6gb ddr3
hd 4890 (updated drivers etc)
Vista 64

Game feels unresponsive and laggy.

Then maybe you can try from CCC (or nVidia CP respectively)?
