mRWaffles: Once again how can you exploit fans? If the fan is willing to pay how is that an exploitation? Seems to me like solid business sense. But oh I forgot all game companies are inherently evil and just out to make an evil profit so they can continue to make evil games.
Exploitation like in to use for one’s own advantage. Asking CDP to do charge for DCL when they already declared that all DCL will be free is not in our best interest.

Besides, The Witcher 2 is a coherent story with multiple choices and paths. Not exactly a DLC hub. Compare it to ME2 or DA2 and you will see what I mean. An expansion pack will make a lot more sense.

Coelocanth: I jumped on some of the Dragon Age:Origins and ME2 DLC, and I don't regret it, as I enjoyed it. But I've since come to the conclusion that I won't buy DLC until and unless it appears in a GotY or Ultimate Editoin (as I noted earlier) or it's free.
He, he, I enjoyed Overlord, Kasumi - Stolen Memory, and Lair of the Shadow Broker. :)
But I don't think this model will fit The Witcher 2.

As about DAO, I prefer the Awakening expansion pack.

Oh, make no mistake, I'd rather see an expansion than any DLC for any game. But if pubs/devs are determined to go with a (for purchase) DLC model, then I'll be waiting until their Ultimate Edition appears in a sale before I by it.

I don't see it as greed on their part though. Obviously, there are plenty of gamers willing to fork over the cash for these things, so it's a smart business model. I do hope, though, that CDPR doesn't decide to go that route.

The problem with the DLC model, aside from being a rip-off, is that it affects the design of the game. The Witcher 2 is so much more focused on choices and consequences, there are different paths in the game. So I don't think that DLC is the way to go for The Witcher.

This is an excellent point, and is a direction BioWare seems to be fully committed to (unfortunately).

Agreed. While it could certainly be slipped in (and if it's free, hey, no big deal amirite?) a full expansion would certainly fit far better, since it could carry the story further forward and answer a lot of questions, tie up some loose ends, and open up new plot lines.

I won't mind CDPR charging for quality content dlc with fair prices, not charging us 15$ for 5 map which some of them they didn't even put the tiniest effort and took directly from their previous game or 5 -10$ for some crappy armor and a stick covered with shit any skilled modder(which i understand by looking at the amount of quality modes we get for some games, there are many of them) can make (make something far better than that even). Like i said, i am not against charged dlcs, i am against that dlcs being cost more money than the original game if all put together and don't give quarter as much stuff. But like i said in a post of mine before, i'd prefer a decent priced decent expansion better like if the game itself is 50 hours and 50 dollars, expansion is 25 dollars and 30 hours.
