formich93: I've also tried to perform a clean boot, again with no success...

pigulici: Beside a clean instal of windows, I don't know wha you can try, maybe to force from nvidia control panel to be witcher 2 on performance...
I've just set profile to Performance but that's another failure. At this point when I have some free time I'll try to clean install Win10. Is really frustrating... Anyway, thank you so much for helping out.
Looking through your logs it looks like you may have a permissions issue, which brings us back to why I first asked you to check your antivirus. The first thing you should do is uninstall Galaxy, REBOOT, and then reinstall it OUTSIDE of the Windows protected 'Program Files' folder. NEVER install games or game related clients in 'Program Files'. Oh, and when troubleshooting issues while using Galaxy, be absolutely sure to turn off the in-game overlay.

Next, try quitting Galaxy completely and run the game directly from the <INSTALL LOCATION>\The Witcher 2\bin\witcher2.exe file, not the launcher.

Thank you, I've unistalled GOG Galaxy and reinstalled it under "C:\Games\" I'm actually redownloading The Witcher 2.I hope this is the right time.
If it helps, during the countless attempts I've run everything as Administrator (Launcher and GameExecutable), regarding the "Access Denied" that you've found in the logs I think that's depend by the new windows account(named TheWitcher) I've created to solve this problem. Also, before installing GOG Galaxy I was running the "offline" version of the Witcher 2 under "C:\GOG Games" also via witcher2.exe but again with the same result...

I'll update you as soon as I can, Thank you again

Again nothing. I've reinstalled GOG galaxy in C:\Games\ and disabled the overlay, splash screen for about 10 seconds and re-open the menu. Also, I've tried to run as administrator witcher2.exe directly from the bin folder, in this case absolutely nothinfg happens.

Ok, do you use any mods? If you do, remove them... ALL of them, then verify/repair your game in Galaxy and try again.

I'm not using any mod. But I tried anyway to verify/repair the game, no success. Same behavior as before, both with GOG Galaxy and witcher2.exe execution.

Hm, this is very strange and it is CLEARLY something on your system that's preventing proper startup. I don't have anything else to suggest except to advise you to do some system detective work. Sorry.

That's problem is getting seriously strange. I've just CLEAN installed windows 10, installer GOG Galaxy in "C:\" and The witcher won't start anyway, also runnning as administrator witcher2.exe. Exactly same behavior as before.
It really looks like I cannot play at this game... If a fresh install isn't enough, what could be?

I really don't know. The only other thing I can think of is to experiment with different drivers, graphics and otherwise. Also, remove any peripherals you have connected as they can sometimes interfere.

The only thing that's really new in the system is the GPU (RTX 2080) maybe it has brought some compatibility issue with the new driver... I'm actually trying to uninstall them with DDU. I'll let you know.

I've completely removed graphics driver. The problem is still there, I really don't know what else to try...

Me neither. Perhaps contact support.
Do you have any othe video card(not from 20xx series nvidia), to try? Because a lot of problems was with nvidia drivers 4xx and Witcher 3, and those with nvidia 20xx cards, can only use driver 4xx.

During the troubleshooting I've tried to uninstall completely the graphic's driver. Also with the basic windows driver the behaviour remains the same. Do you still suggest me to reinstall the old GPU (AMD HD7970Ghz)?
