einarabelc5: From my previus experience on TW1 and also with TW2 it doesn't make any sense to fight one oponent at a time. It's better to dodge and do crowd control. More so in TW2 where parrying is limited by Vigor unless you cheat.
Do you honestly not realize what I was talking about? When using your sword if you didn't upgrade the swordsman tree or using early level signs you can only target one opponent at a time. I didn't mean locking on to one opponent and attacking him until he dies and then repeating until they are all dead.

Rubarack: The more direct character control means it's a lot of fun on a controller but the interface needs a lot of work. Also it fails to map the singular most important function in the entire game - quick save.

einarabelc5: For a "Controller" that can do quick save try this keyboard:

http://www.amazon.com/iGrip-Ergonomic-Keyboard-by-AlphaGrip/dp/B000O8AOO0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313110781&sr=8-1

and yes, keyboard and controller are no typos.
That thing is god damn insane, I'd like to be able to play more PC games on the couch but that's the weirdest thing ever.

Oh yeah and the way the radial menu on a pad somehow has you scrolling individually between each item is insane.

KenR7A: I played 1 and a half times with KB and mouse. Now just got myself a nifty XB360 controller since I heard this game plays better with it.
It really doesn't.
People making these claims are extremely clueless individuals.

Yeah. I use a gamepad + x360 controller emulator and interface navigation is a nightmare. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to consistently equip armours or weapons in the inventory screen, and always end up having to use the mouse (without a cursor).

Outside of combat, I find the controller to be more intuitive with respect to movement (no need for walk/run toggle, for instance). My hand hurts from WASD.

I can pretty much work out the menus (call up inventory, use RB and LB to select the armor tab and scroll down the armor and press A to select). What has me though is you can't map back to anything, it has this weird abortion of an attempted radial menu, there's no button for the map and if you attempt to bind powers to keys it just behaves strangely.

I know how to do it (and succeeded a few times). But most of the time, when I press A while an armour or weapon is highlighted, nothing happens. *shrugs*

No, because doing that would have never occurred to me. Since I've a different perspective. Had no idea you were so limited by your choices. In that case i guess you either create a different tree or stay stuck with it.

You still don't get what I mean and your statement doesn't make sense in regards to what I have stated. No matter what kind of an attack you plan to use, whether it affects one enemy of many, you need to have your cursor on an enemy in order to use it. And if you have trouble getting that cursor onto the enemy you want or the enemy that will make you group attack hit the most enemies (like with a bomb) then you attack will not be as effective as you hoped and will then get frustrating. I found targeting with a controller to be harder than with a M/KB.

From other games it seems harder at the beginning. Until you get used to it. It does require an effort to get used to. Nevertheless the accessibility to buttons that a controller gives you far surpasses that problem in my opinion. I have been using a controller for Windows Games since AC 1 and never looked back.

Oh btw, looking at the post here you never said what you meant. You said what you didn't mean until your last post. I will try the mouse and let you know.

Weird, it works without fail for me. Must be a bug
