I, too, have heard that it's largely CPU dependent. I've also heard that it doesn't take advantage of multi-core processors properly.
Stevezen, in what part of the game are you getting that poor performance? If you want to go through the hassle, you can try using 3d analyze to lower graphics further and make the game playable. Measured at exactly the same save point, it increased my fps by 260%.
I'm kind of amazed that system can't handle it, though. We're talking Witcher 1, right? Not 2?
Yeah its The Witcher Enhanced Edition which is 1.
I'm getting 7-9 fps in the main game although in cut scenes its worse and more like 2-3, I did make a thread about this but nothing could fix it so I kind of abandoned the game in disgust as I can't play a game with fps that low.
