This is really the worst DRM screw up that I've seen. Odd to see it from a company that seems to be against crazy DRM.

Aw well, hopefully the registration is fixed on time.
i like how the site says the servers are back up, but at the same it says they're down again.

I was thinking about buying the GoG version, but I feel aggitated that I am forced to re-buy a game I already own. Just to make it easier in the future I probably would have bought it, but not because I am forced too.

Now that the sale is over I don't think I will, I feel disappointed.

I bought The Witcher when it was first released and they got my cash early. I thought the game was good and when they released the multiple patches I was extremely impressed with the company and the improvements. The Witcher EE is an excellent game.

When can I play it again?
Is there an estimate as to when the registration servers will be back up?

+1
I'd love to know the answer.
As I said above they estimate sometime middle of this week. Not over joy with this issue but I think on their news site they admitted a bit of poor planing on their part.

Same problem here, can't replay my old boxed Witcher 1 before playing to Witcher 2 because of this registration server issue.
It would be nice we could link boxed activation codes from Witcher 1&2 + futur games to a GOG acount to prevent such a mess.

Red flag to CD Projekt for not thinking ahead and preventing their paying customer to play !

EDIT : i've read numerous topics on various forums in my country about this very subject, alot of players are hindered in their wish to replay the game.

I am getting a different error message now, "connection errror try again later" instead of "a connection to the server could not be established". I did just do some work on my pc so maybe that is it.
Connection error is what I was getting before and I just tested and that is what I am getting now.

Hey me too :)
I didn't change anything, so I guess it could be a hint that they are working on it?

Possibly, now the servers might actually be connected to the internet even if they are not accepting registration related traffic at this time. It could just be a weird bug issue.
Still have a couple of more days til I check again. Though the comments I see here are making me worry a bit more.
They are having so many issues with patching witcher 2 I think it will be a decade before this is fixed :(

I've got the same problem, and i bought the witcher again on this site, while it was in discount.
Sorry for my English

If you bought the Witcher from GOG you don't have to register it, it is already fully patched.
