i only see a post about the Witcher 2 1.1 patch
I think I said this before. The site just wasn't ready for all of us to go back online again and for new users to register. I'm assuming they have a small staff and got behind their time schedule. Now at this point they must be panicking to get things right. It bites I know. Though we can only keep our fingers crossed and wait at this point. Should nothing happen by this time next week then I think we can loudly protest to them via email. Not sure if any team members from Cd read these forums or not.

true, guess that means the Witcher 2 is selling well.
same problem here! I have to say I am not impressed one bit. I just installed Windows 7 and tried to install The Witcher, and cannot play the game because it needs to be registered and I need to install EE patch! Come on, CDP, this is not like you..

Get the servers up so we can enjoy our game that we paid good money for, I for one would like to finish the first game before starting the second...
Well they had a choice; instead of screwing existing customers they could have had a solution that disabled the drm on the product. At the very least they could have accept any registration until they got their act together. Instead they chose to give the finger to previous purchasers. This is the exact reason why I hate drm; coporate policy is to screw the customer first.
I'm having the same issue so I put in a support ticket to Atari. This is the response I got on 5/18.

"Greetings! Yes we aware of this issue, at this momment our team is working on a possible fix, sadly there is no estimated time of release for this fix, please wait a couple of days until the issue has been fixed. Thank you for playing, Atari Support"

Note the "Couple of days" part.

This is ridiculous. Thanks to this idiotic DRM, paying customers are locked out while those who pirated it (which the DRM is designed to stop but never actually does) can play with no issues. To make matters worse, this has been going on for DAYS and barely is even mentioned by their team. This definitely will make me think twice about ever paying for software from CDProjekt
A nice solution would be anybody who bought The Witcher at Retail [or anywhere else] could register their game on GOG and get to be able to download The Enhanced Edition all patched-up from GOG.

And paying again for a game that you have and cant play because the lack of support of his own company?
He is suggesting the game works like a streamworks game. If you have a legal code you can register it with gog and download it prepatched. He is not suggesting that you buy it again. I debated buying it again but since my origianl retail version was bloody expensive I decided to pass; and voice my discontent.

I did actually email gog askig if they could let me download it thinking it was the same company but they said no. Mind you I don't think it is gog's responsibility. I do think cdprojeck did not think things through (i.e, poor planning).

Anyways there was a post that they hope to get the servers in shape next week. Not the end of the world and if they fix witcher 2 and get witcher 1 registration back next week I'm sure I'll forgive them.

Yes, that is exactly what I mean - registering a game up from Retail onto GOG just like registering a retail key onto Steamworks.

Some games that don't require Steam from Retail actually do allow you to register a game up onto Steamworks - i.e. Dark Messiah and X3: Terran Conflict.

You can't, currently.
I'm suggesting it as an idea, since Steam and EADM both do similar things - especially since Witcher 1 servers are down, so I cannot update to Enhanced Edition.
Are there any news about this issue ?

Should we really resort to pirating, to get the patches for a game that we legally purchased ?

Some official update would be very appreciated.

Thank you.
They said they expected registration to be available later this week. The cdprojek representation who made the statement expressed some unsureness if they would meet their target deadline.
