Hi guys,

If you're following The Witcher 2 at all you might have noticed I recently added a Witcher Nexus to the Nexus Network that is hosting various Witcher 2 mods.

A few TW1 modders sent me some private messages and emails about also opening up a section for TW1 mods as well. To be honest I didn't think that TW1 modders would want or use a Nexus site but quite a few have expressed an interest and I'm honoured.

As a result I have set up categories for TW1 mods as well. Corylea was gracious enough to upload her back catalogue of 10 publicly available mods to the section so it's not completely empty! She's also uploaded her latest mod, Medical Problems 2 - The Witcher Disease which she announced only a couple of days before the official forums went down so I'm not sure if many people have heard about it yet.

This thread is just to spread the word a little bit as we still don't have any official forums to use so everyone is a bit spread out right now.

Happy modding :)
Thanks, DarkOne! :-)
Awesome.

As a user, I've found the Nexus sites to generally be the most convenient way to do everything but download the files. Places like ModDB are good to have, but an easy to browse site just for one game, or one series, is always easier. Not having to rely on official resources to store mods can also be a major plus, because just about every company screws their old content up when they have a big new release. I have only been able to find a Google cache page about this bugfix mod, but no downloadable copies, as one example of that: http://www.witchernexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32

The downloadable copy of the Han fix IS there; I just downloaded it again, to be sure. Just click on the "Files" tab then on the "Han Gives Han."
Awesome Dark0ne. I have become quite the avid user of your other Nexus sites - first as an end user, and lately with mods for FO 3 and FO NV. Great community [sure, has its drama - but so does GoG ;)] and the best place [and least annoying] to find quality mods.

It's not just a great place for users of mods, though it is that; it's also a great place for makers of mods -- the site is easy to use and well-run, and Robin Scott is a pleasure to deal with.

Thats what I meant with the second half of my first sentence - I have started creating mods myself and putting them up on FO3 and FONV nexus sites :)

Yes. I was agreeing with you. This is what that looks like. :-)
This is excellent news, because I have been getting a throbbing headache trying to find all these Witcher 1 mods I keep hearing about or finding through google only to continuously be taken to a "This Page No Longer Exists" type page at the official site.

Hopefully they will all eventually be added since I still can't find most of them. lol

Until all of the mods are up at WitcherNexus, you can also find some at and [url=http://witchervault.ign.com/View.php?view=gamemods.List]The Witcher Vault.

Thanks! :) I had also heard of a mod that made it so that you could access your storage from anywhere and also sleep anywhere at any time. I hope that one gets up soon. Anyway, thanks again!

That's J_Slash's "Stuff that makes Geralt's life easier" mod, and I recommend it; it makes gameplay far less annoying. It's hosted on the official Witcher forum, which is down at the moment, unfortunately. I don't know if it's hosted anywhere else; you could try a Google search.

Thanks, you are a life saver, because you gave me the name, I was able to google it and found a thread right here at GOG that had a direct link to download it. You rock! :)

Its the "Recommended Mods and Adventures" Thread that you can find here: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher/recommended_mods_and_adventures/page1

I meant that I could not get the actual mod, because I could only get links to or [url=http://tw1.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=24609.0;wap2]here, which have not existed since just before TW2 came out.
