Is there a list specifying which extra adventures are included in the GOG version of Witcher? When I followed the link at the beginning of this thread for the extra adventures, there were quite a few and I would not want to waste my time downloading adventures I already have.

** Never mind. Answered my own question after I downloaded the game and installed it.**

Can't see it in the list, and I think it's excellent, so would like to recommend the Witcher Alchemy Mod - Better Colour Coding

It makes it easier to see the ingredients in various herbs and such, which is very useful for mixing new potions, and to know what you may discard of if you have a full satchel in the middle of nowhere - without having to mouse over every item to see their primary and secondary ingredients (which is important if you want the added benefits to potions)

Very useful mod, I can't play the game without it.

Thankyou so much for this mod guide.

One thing I would mention is that for me, the "walk" mod with OTS camera makes the game incredible and immersive. I am in the swamp right now, and the atmosphere at night, raining, epic and with the threat of death is just perfect. Geralt swaggers in his cool way, not running like an OCD freak unless he actually needs to run...

It took me a while to figure out how to enable walking, so I thought I would share:

1. When you install the flash mod, selecting the "bugifix/rebalance" installation will install the "toggle GUI and walk mod" by default. If it is not selected, check the box.

2. For both the GUI and the walk mod, they are *only* accessible when you go into "options->controls" in the game menu, and are not bound to any key unless you select it manually.

3. They are not labelled, but the "walk" key appears as a blank control option at the top of the list, and the "toggle GUI" appears blank at the bottom.

4. I use "W" for walk, so that I can still WASD and then put normal run on "G".

I have tried playing without it (ie. running everywhere), and it just kills it for me. Walking takes alot longer to go places, but the tiny touches on the art and the beautiful landscapes make it totally worth it. Closest thing I've ever come to going for a real forest walk at night in a game!

taltamir: The most important "mod" is to run the game in window mode while using the software from http://gwr.orekaria.com/ to make it fit your monitor perfectly so it looks exactly like full screen while being windowed; this eliminates almost all the crashes in the game and allows you to alt-tab or hit the windows key with impunity, while looking exactly the same as a full screen mode.

Full screen mode is a derelict, a throwback to the 1990s... you "save" 8MB of ram on a 1920x1200 @ 32bit color... and for what? instability and long delays? not worth it
thank you, that was an eye-opener.
Currently spinning my wheels trying to get texture mods to work on steam enhanced edition and wishing I had bought it on GOG.

If you can locate the Steam cd-key then use it to get your backup copy from GOG .

Tried it, didn't work. I did get it a long time ago, before there was GOG I think.

EDIT:

So they sent me a CD Key! GoG and CD Projekt RED ROCK! I think it installed better.

edit mk 2: As you can see from the picture, i have failed to install the texture pack correctly. When I skipped the cutscene to the first battle, I saw Geralt alone in the courtyard.

I see no Gamefront link. It links to the Witcher forums which links to ModDB.

any other source for this mod file?

btw thanks for the mini hud mod. using it until I get hold of the extreme immersion
