I think it needed a slight update, but I haven't noticed any massive downloads required for other games I have put onto gog. Not sure if this is a bug, but I wanted the team to know.

After making sure The Witcher was installed I then tried to install it with gog galaxy, thinking it would check local files like regular then dowload any small patches I had missed. Instead it is currently re-downloading the whole game.
First time I have seen gog galaxy do this. Although it may be because the game I had installed didn't have latest update.

Best of luck working it out team!
I had the same happen to me, but it downloaded only about 700Mb I think. Galaxy checked the existing files for a looong time though (maybe half an hour).
I have the installation files with date from 2014-03-24.
I get the GOG Downloader and it's verified that it's the last version (seven files with 8.4 GB).

I installed the game and then I enter in the GOG Galaxy to import the folder.
I make this because if I installed directly from GOG Galaxy it will download the entire game.

GOG Galaxy download the file list from the game to check but it start to download the game with 14 GB.
I don't understand why GOG make the GOG Galaxy download the entire game again.
If the version of my game isn't the newer version, why the version of the site it's not the same of GOG Galaxy?

I have a poor Internet connection and this will torture me for days to download.

I want GOG to adjust this problem soon.

I will install the game again and I don't will import on GOG Galaxy.
I think that I will play all games without GOG Galaxy.
