i finally upgraded from laptop gaming to desktop gaming and i want to trasfer my saves
will GOG automaticlly detect and save my TW1 files?
As of yet, it won't. Galaxy is still in beta stage and many features aren't implemented yet, so you'll have to do the transfer manually by copying the saves from their old location and placing it in the new Witcher save data folder.

Well... I'd recommend buying it on GOG, since the developers of the game, CD Projekt RED, are a sister company of GOG, and by supporting GOG you are also supporting CD Projekt RED. Also, GOG is a DRM-free store, if you want, you can play your games without using a client (Galaxy), just download them manually via your library, install them and play them.

For the record, The Witcher 3 is one of the few games that take full advantage of the Galaxy client, you can unlock achievements and track game play time just like you would on Steam. Witcher 3 plays great with Galaxy but it's completely optional, you don't have to have Galaxy installed to install or play any game you own on GOG, though it has certain advantages, such as an auto-update feature that already works quite well.

saw this game 23$ on G2A today
picked it up in an instant
great buy, now.... does porting a save worth the trouble? or should i just use the shaving scene?

noamlol2:
I would say 'yes', but mostly for roleplaying purpose, as in - you continue your story and all, plus some bonuses like carring your weapons from W1 to W2. It wasn't overpower, but it give you a nice start. But if you are not interested much in creating your own story there... well - then maybe it wouldn't be worth for you. But you can always try to search for saves in Internet to port.

I don't mean to alarm you, but there have been many cases of fraud concerning Gog keys sold by G2A (bought with stolen credit cards and later revoked by Gog). Generally, it's not a good idea to buy from them. You'd better check if your key works as soon as possible.

how? simple, buy retail, sell online

polish money is very weak compared to $$$

It's a gamble. You can get a good deal if you're lucky, but you can also get scammed and lose money for nothing. Some people reportedly never had issues with it, but others found their games removed from their libraries (for example, look here). If you still want to shop from them go right ahead, but there's no guarantee it won't happen to you as well.

Yeah i saw mate first 5-6 offers good prices and they have 50 000-500 000 solds and of course 99% ratio. But when you see last deals everything is red aka they turned to scam people.I was ready to buy Witcher 2 for 1,50$, but after your words made little investigation and i forget for everything +1 mate and a beer from me :)
